Default Snap on hard case disappointment

Please Login to Remove!

Okay I just got my snap on hard case for my Pearl...
And I'm kind of upset about it!
I bought it from an Ebay seller and obviously didn't get a good look at the pictures.
This case snaps on all right, but you can see the tabs overlapping on the outside of the phone. It's an eyesore.
My coworkers don't think it's too bad, but it's grating on my nerves.

Other than that, the case is thick and grippy and has a nice faux baby phat picture on it. If it weren't for the poor design I would be much happier!

Anyway, just a FYI for anyone looking to buy a snap on.

Question

Can you post a link to the ebay seller. I am looking for a snap on case and would like to compare it to the one that seidioonline sells. If you look at this:
SMOKE CRYSTAL CASE FOR 8100 - CSC2YBB8100-SK

How does yours compare?

Thanks,
Allan

Sounds like some of those cheapo cases I bought, for others to use. I even tried some myself. But they are not that good.

See my other threads where I mentioned eBay cases compared to those by Seidio.

Search "el cheapo" and it should come up.

Is this the kind of case you are commenting about? This one looks good, but does NOT stay clamped together. Any kind of bumping it falls apart. Not a concern unless your Pearl falls on cement, like mine did. In which case [pun intended] my Seidio stayed together and protected the phone.

Mine looks like that, but the little tabs on the side are more pronounced as the case is black and they aren't painted, they are white!
Anyway, after some thoughtful consideration (and chiding from a friend) it actually doesn't look THAT bad and I might have jumped the gun on my first few hours with it.
It makes my phone feel a little less fragile, which I like, but still... why couldn't the craftsmanship have been a little better?
You get what you pay for, right?

Whoa ... read that as "strap-on" the first time. I gotta get out more.

I too purchased a plastic case off of eBay, clear. I liked the looks, I do see the tabs, but what I didn't like was the fact that it was a hard plastic shell. After using it for a couple days, I wanted something a case with a bit more protection. Cause I'm clumsy, at times... Luckily I won an official BlackBerry rubber slip on case from ChineseCatt, it's great! Not as sleek looking as the clear case, might be the same as SanFrancico's case, but it's great, already dropped it once, it kinda bounced and had a nice muffled sound. I'm sure if I dropped my plastic case, I would have heard a Crack of some sort.

Miya, post a pic of your case!

Oh, and I liked how the plastic case lit up, from the flashing light. The clear plastic basically takes the flashing light and amplified it, throughout 1/2 the case, it was kinda funny, especially in the dark.
