Is the BB still connected to the computer? The card doesn't show up on the device if its connected to the pc and mass storage is enabled.

Apparently with OS 4.2.1 it is possible, for certain on 8100 models, to have the 4gb.

I have read the 4gb HD SD cards should work on those devices of OS version 4.2.1+, whether 8100, 8300 or 88xx. Apparently the 4.2.1 OS enables the high density.

I think it is the best bet to pay $20 and get 2GB microSD, instead of buying an expensive 4GB or higher capacity cards, at least not until they drop the price.
$60 is just not worth it.

Plus, 4GB is not widely available, possibly prone to defects in the first batch. I will go with 2GB kingston mem.

Thanks.

I would contact them about an exchange. I've had my card for 2 weeks now and have had no issues. It's possible to get a bad card.
