Default Constant Data Transfer

Please Login to Remove!

My battery is dying relatively quickly (read: overnight). I have noticed that the device is doing data transfer quote often - I'm talking about every 15 seconds I see the arrows.

I don't have any other than the standard apps in my alt+esc list, and I haven't installed any new ones recently.

The only difference is that I needed to get rid of the BlackBerry Unite! service books (ugh I don't like that software), so I applied the blank policy.bin file.

Anyway, is there a utility out there that I can use to find out what exactly is doing this data transfer? Maybe a netstat for blackberry? I'd like to put a stop to this. I may try deleting all my service books and resending them.

I've done a battery pull already.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Had the exact same problem after downloading Unite! I think it has something to do with the firewall being enabled and locked so you can't disable it. My battery drained in 8 hrs. Anyhow check this out. Should be a sticky here. ***NEW*** How to COMPLETELY Remove an IT policy!!! - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

We already have all that here. Sith posted above. Not all devices can have the IT policy completely removed yet.

Tried that but putting a blank IT policy still leaves the firewall locked and enabled, causing continues data transfer, thus killing the battery still. The link I posted worked for me to completely remove any policy, disabled the firewall, and stopped the continuous data transfer.

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

My remove IT policy thread addresses both methods of IT policy removal. OS 4.3 and higher is required for the full removal. Anything lower needs tha blank, and you're correct, firewall can't be opened. We've had this information here long before that thread was written over at CB. It was originally found by d_fisher who rewrote the JL_Cmder program to take advantage of it about 6 months ago.
