We have a policy to keep 5 historial passwords, so when the devices are wiped and given to new users etc, the same passwords cant be used during initial stage just after wiping it as it says " Invalid password. Same as previous password"

is there a easy way to wipe these cached passwords, without altering the IT policy or reinstalling the OS on the device.

You could change the pw 5 times...

place the device in the default policy after or during activation. once it applies change the password to disabled and save, then reapply your policy that forces a password. this will clear all the cached passwords out and you can use whatever you want again.
