Yes, unfortunately.
I have had it happen on some occasions and there is a thread on this forum or another site about someone not being able to use it well outdoors.
I generally purchased it only for use at the gym where it has worked pretty well, only very occasionally losing sound. At the gym I use a very small waist/belt pack. But two weeks ago I was doing a local walk and decided to use the S9's. I had the BB 8830 in my front pants' pocket and as I nodded/moved my head, the sound cut on/off, repeatedly for about a block or so. I then moved the BB to the top pocket of my small day pack (shoulder) and it worked fine for a 4 mile walk.
I have to guess that the antenna/receiver in the S9's is weak and that either the distance or my body blocked transmissions when the BB was in my pocket but when up near the back of my neck, it was fine. I am now wondering where the antenna is located as the BB pocket was on my left side and if the antenna is in the right side of the S9, then my body would be in the way.
Bottom line - yes, problems have been reported but they might be location/situational.
