Default Google Map Question

Please Login to Remove!

New to BB and using Google Maps. Is Google Maps the best solution for mapping directions without the use of GPS? I have a new 8700c and need a good mapping solution for my job. Is Google Maps free? How do I get it and download?
Thanks!

There are a few different applications available. I like HelloWorld Browser which uses GoogleMaps from www.freek.ca ($20 dollars)

There is a free one but I don't recall the name. I am sure if you search you will find it.

You can also access google maps directly (www.maps.google.com) or any of the other common maps, mapquest or mapblast or yahoo maps, etc. With the 8700 on EDGE it isn't too bad, but the HelloWorld app really makes the maps more usable for a BB and probably worth the $20. You can also download the trial version to test it out and compare it to the direct google site.

I am testing it now, and I get some of the map images, and a lot of "No Image" readings, leaving big gaps. What gives? Is the program buggy?

I have the test version myself, I have used it a little, and it seemed to work for me with the little I have used it.
