Default 8300 on Cdma network (sprint)

Anyone have any information when sprint should be getting this phone. I am really tired to reseting my treo 700wx eight times a day because the Windows is so unstable. My bluetooth can't even stay connected. I want a BB now!!

If your Treo is that bad you need to dump it and get another phone now. The Blackberry for Sprint might be a way down the road! Then again, RIM has been surprising all of with lot s of new hardware.

Regardless, I owned a Treo and returned it the 2nd day due it being a POS!

Sprints blackberry's are great. I have a 7130 right now. The only time it resets is if I am using it as a modem alot. I would wait till june/july and see if a 8800 or 8830 pops up. If you cant wait then just go for it. Blackberries are great and reliable.

I would most likely get a 8703 if I were in your shoes right now. who knows when the 88xx or 83xx might come out for sprint.

There's really no telling with the CDMA carriers but in the past there has always been a long wait. If you're having problems now then waiting for a CDMA 83XX doesn't sound like a good plan to me since the GSM 83XX's haven't even been released yet. The 8703e is definitely a good Blackberry and worth considering (unless you need the camera and media features).

You can always get a 8703 and use it for a few weeks and if you don't like it return it. Pretty sure they have 30 days and you can return. I did that with my 7100 on Nextel atleast.

I was in a NRS two days ago and they said "something" is coming from RIM end of April. They said, "8803 or something like that." Take it with a grain.

...makes sense that the CDMA models would have different numbers.

The way that RIM has been introducing new hardware lately, I do not even doubt that there will be something for the Sprint users.

This sounds like the 8830 that popped up on PhoneArena.com today.

I'm a newbie so I can't post a link to the article.

cdma devives come out a year after their GSM counterparts reson is GSM is pretty much all over the worl
CDMA is limited pretty much to the continental US so it's a smaller market to sell it gsm is a bigger market

rev a makes 0 difference on a BB, thats why there are currently no phones on sprint thats rev a. only data cards.

Wouldn't it make a difference while tethering?

Your mistake was getting the wx instead of the p. The 700p runs great while I have heard horror stories about the wx. I would never own a phone that runs Win Mobile.
