You know I have read a few good blackberry books, O'reillys hacking blackberry, and Hacking BlackBerry: ExtremeTech. The O'reilly book was kinda a dry read, but good information none the less, and the Extreme tech one was a good book to learn more about 87xx series, but I dont see any new books that talk about alot of the newer techonolgies, is there anything on the horizon?

I venture to say the info here is as realtime as you can get. Any book on blackberry or any technolgy is going to be out of date before it is published. Books for history, sure; but the news is going to be found here.

True I agree, it just seems like a good BB book to cover alot of the newer 8800/pearl/curve stuff hasn't come out yet, when before there was plenty of literature to cover pre 8700 blackberrys

well RIM provides all the blackberry.com 101 files that walk you through pretty much everything. what specifically were you looking for?

I recall looking on amazon for blackberry titles when I got my first blackberry. The general customer review, at least the way I remember it now, is that the books were unremarkable, containing nothing that could not be obtained elsewhere without paying the price of a book. So I never did and found blogs and forums instead. Makes me wonder how well books on blackberry sell. Maybe they don't and that's the answer.

see i've never been a huge fan of the dummies books, i've always felt like they are hit or miss. I've read some good ones, but then some others are just terrible read throughs. I guess i'm looking for another O'reilly type referance book
