Hi all I am new to this forum, but was wondering if someone could help me!

My partner has a blackberry 8520 curve which has recently gone wrong!

Everytime the phone is switched on, upon loading the home screen a message appears 'uncaught exception index: 3<= 3' after which a white screen apears with the message 'app error 523 reset'.

I have reset the phone many times and the same problem keeps occuring

I read up that I would need to remove any 3rd party apps that I have recently downloaded through the blackberry desktop manager software. I deleted what I thought to be the route of the problem but this was unsuccesfull! Therefore I continued to remove all of the downloaded apps to be sure! Still the message kept occuring.

I have also read that i would need to reinstall the blackberry software through desktop manager by searching for new software for the phone, however when the phone connects to My PC the desktop manager for blackberry freezes everytime and I am unable to process any restores possible! I dont understand how I was able to remove the apps from the phone through the add or remove section but through anything else including back up and restore software, the phone freezes my computer!!!

please can anyone help me with this problem?
