I posted about this long ago but I think it's necessary to issue another warning.

I ordered a Unique Skin with my own design. When it arrived, the result was so attrocious, it made me wonder why the manufacturer didn't at least call me an suggest a re-do or different design. Bottom line, the company sends you a cheap sticker to cover up your Storm with.

A friend of mine designed a Gator Team Football skin for her Storm and I warned her not to purchase such a skin from Unique Skins. Despite my warning she took a shot. When she received the "skin" she was extremely disappointed with the outcome and showed it to me. I got a good laugh.

The product is so sub-par I am willing to bet this company is run out of a garage by a teenager. I just wanted to warn this forum because it really is a shame someone is selling such a substandard product.

I have purchased many skins from Unique Skins and they always look professional and exactly what I expected. All of mine have been custom from photos I uploaded.

If you design something attrocious, that's your problem since you have full ability to preview them.

Great company. As stated, I've purchased from them many times and will continue to do so.

I did preview my item and it looked NOTHING like the product delivered to me. If I owned a company and I actually handled the product they sent to me, I would have either emailed or called the customer to suggest a revision or ask if there was a glitch. Additionally, it's literally a sticker and a low quality sticker at that.

The "sticker" sent to my friend was blurry and had white borders that weren't observed in the preview. This was my similar misfortune. Evidently no one actually handles finished products and examines them for the purposes of quality control.

These stickers would be fine for a gaming console or stationary equipment. Ill give them that much. But not for a cellular phone. The results are no where near the quality and definition for a professional handheld device. But for less than $10 you get what you pay for and it's not such a big deal when you toss it in the garbage. My experience was just plain annoying and compelled me to post an opinion. With the exception of this product, I've given many positive reviews of other products even when they don't quite thrill me.

But if you love these stickers, keep on sending them your money. I am just giving my honest opinion.

As stated, my experience differs from yours.

Unique Skins is a sponsor on this forum and others have used them as well. Your complaint is the first I've heard. Does not make your complaint and opinion invalid but not typical.

In the spirit of fairness and objectivity, I need to be specific.

My criticism was directed at the custom skin and not the other products sold by Unique Skins. I am quite aware they are a sponser and I am not encouraging others to discount that they may produce other fine products for sale.

I did locate them in this forum and spent money on one of their products. I truly hope my experience was not typical but there is no exaggeration in my complaint. Hopefully the sponsors review these forums occasionally and there can be a positive outcome from the experience my friend and I had.

Any "skin" is a sticker. Nothing more; nothing less. Even a full wrap on a vehicle starts out as a sticker. That makes it neither bad nor good.

As someone in the graphic communications industry, specifically the sign industry, I have to ask: with what software did you design your custom skin? How was the design transmitted to Unique Skins? What resolution was your design?

Every skin I've purchased has been custom. I upload my own photos and designed what I want. Never bought anything stock from them. I have purchased skins for BB 8830, BB8900, BB Tour, and a Dell Laptop. (Multiples for each of the phones because I like to change them occasionally.) Only problems were when I got sloppy applying them but that was not due to quality of the skins.
