Default IMAP settings for non-BES Blackberry (Google Apps different than regular GMail)?

Please Login to Remove!

I just want to make sure I'm doing this properly... we have some users that have Blackberries that are not part of the Google Apps Connector and BES (which we are running, successfully I might add), and these users configure their Blackberries through the Blackberry BIS.

I've noticed that not only are there subtle differences between Google Apps Premier and standard GMail, but there's differences in the BIS setup as well (i.e. there's an 'Advanced' tab for the Google Apps Premier account and none for the GMail account).

I've configured the accounts using imap.gmail.com, port 993 (using SSL), and seem to have no issues, but I have one user in particular who wants to be able to delete email off her Blackberry and not have it deleted from her Inbox.

When you're using a standard GMail account and you select an email for deletion, you are presented with an option 'Delete on Handheld Device' or 'Delete on Handheld Device & Server' but this isn't an option with the Google Apps email account. I'm trying to figure out if this a Google Apps issue, or a setting issue on the Blackberry?

Thoughts?

I think I've answered my own question, according to the Google Apps forums:

"Note: Gmail IMAP access is not officially supported for BlackBerry devices at this time."
