I just bought a Blackberry 8703 on Ebay, didn't come with a battery so I purchased a new battery as well. I charged the phone for about 15 hours and was only able to get 50% battery power on the status screen. When it was charging there was a picture of a battery with a red slash thru it, not sure what that meant but I couldn't get it to go away without removing the battery and replacing it. I had read elsewhere that the 8703 requires an actual Blackberry charger unlike earlier models. So I have plugged in a Blackberry OEM charger and now I still have no charging indicator on the screen. Do I have a problem with the phone, battery, or ? Thanks!

Update: Haven't had the wireless turned on, tried turning it on and the phone said there wasn't any battery present and a battery was needed to enable the wireless. I removed the battery and replaced it AGAIN, and now I can't seem to get the battery icon with the slash thru it off the screen. Think I have a dud battery.

Try charging to your desktop manager through a PC
