Is the video playing in the BlackBerry's Media Player, or is it playing in the browser window? When I play YouTube videos, they play in the Media Player and I can use the volume buttons on the right edge of the phone to control volume. If you are using the default skin for the Media Player, you will see a yellow segmented bar in the right lower part of the screen. That displays volume level.

You can test BB Media Player by creating a short video with your phone's camera. Remember to say something during video record to test audio functionality.

It sounds like the OP was talking about more than one video. They didn't pull the sound off all of them! It worked for me, as I described above, AFTER reading this post.

Hi I notice that not all utube shows in the video. Some of them failed or said error.
Hey Mark Rehjor, when you get message from VRS, signmail and I tried to open the message but it failed and said not support format. Is there any way you can open the signmail message (sign)?

My YouTube videos so far are all pixelated...they are not sharp looking compared to my wife's Itouch. At least I can see them now, but they are not very good looking.
