Sweet Curve Leather Pocket Pouch!
Please Login to Remove!
So I just got my Curve pocket pouch and let me say I love it! While the official Curve leather holster is great, I'm not a holster guy. I rather keep my phone in my pocket but want it protected. This bad boy is exactly what I needed.
Quote:
The BlackBerry Curve Leather Pocket Case is a form-fitted case designed to protect your BlackBerry Curve smartphone and its camera lens from bumps and scratches. It provides easy access to your BlackBerry Curve thanks to a built-in thumb groove: just give your BlackBerry Curve a gentle tug and it slides out smoothly. This case features a battery-saving proximity sensor that shuts off the screen backlight as soon as you slide your Curve into place. This sensor also allows you to switch automatically to different notification settings (for ringing, vibration or both) based on whether your BlackBerry Curve is in or out of its case.
Features:
- Proximity-sensing technology
- Maximizes battery life
- In and Out of case notification profiles
- Luxurious and durable leather exterior
- Built-in thumb groove
Tested and certified for use with: BlackBerry Curve 8300

Does this have the magnets that allows the Curve to know when it is in or out of a holster and set the profile accordingly?

Thanks. That's how I read it, but I'm new to the BlackBerry platform so I wanted to make sure I wasn't making incorrect assumptions.

NYCrooner,
Is that a belt clip on the back of the pouch? The pouch does look very nice, but I want something I can clip to by belt or waistband.

Two things about this case:
1) It's not leather... it's either faux leather or vinyl.
2) It will stain your skin if you have one (like an InvisibleShield or BestSkinsEver skin).
Other than that... it's okay. I prefer this one: which is sold through this store: link

I attest to the fact that this holder (The BlackBerry Curve Leather Pocket Case) will stain a InvisibleShield shield. The only good thing is they will send you new ones to put on as long as you maintain your warranty.

I think you got your analysis mixed up. Leather stains, faux doesn't.

That is the pouch case that comes with the Canadian Curve. I bought the OEM belt clip case, but love the pouch... fits great in my shirt pocket!

Its nice! It came with my BB too. But i am concerned that dust can get in form above since it is not ocvered. I was thinking of putting an invisible skin (the one with the appache helicopter logo - forgot the companies name) on it to stop this happening. You guys are saying the pouch stains this?
btw the trackball side goes along the ridge as shown? does it matter?

I haven't noticed any 'staining' from the pouch... and I carry it in my shirt pocket.
The phone goes in with the BB logo facing you, the word Blackberry facing opposite.

That case is designed for the 8700 series not the 8800 seires. It's too big for the 8800 and it can fall out easily.
Gizmo should be ashamed of themselves for selling old stock for new items. If they tried it they would know it's no darn good

Looks like it would work. But im not feeling the style, nor am I willing to spend that much for a slip case that will spend its entire life inside my girlfriend's purse!
thank you though!
