Knowing that more new OS have been launched for BOLD and JAVELINE, I am just curious whether there should be such newer version of OS for 8310 or it would stuck on 4.5.0.124 ?
Please advice.

It means that some inside RIM have it / beta testing it, but it is not leaked on the internet and not obtainable to people like you and I.

Does that mean that the 8310 won't get any additional significant upgrades like 4.6? Just tweaks/fixes to 4.5?

I think the OS that is currently available for the 8XXX series (4.5.0.124) is the most stable and tight OS that 4.5 can offer. There really are no fixes or tweaks needed. I think the next major OS change to look for would be a jump to 5.0 and who knows when that will happen.
