Did you drop it or get it wet?

What was the last thing you did before this happened?

I had something similar happen to my BB two days ago. I thought I had properly plugged in the charger only to discover after trying a different battery it was caused by a dead battery. Aparently i did not seat the plug right. Unless you can verify the charger is plugged in by seeing the little lightning bolt on the battery indicator you may either have a bad charger or not plugged it in all the way. Worth a try.
