Default Text from Rogers about an Upgrade!?

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday I got a text from Rogers saying this:

"Free BB software upgrade! The upgrade includes improved battery life and email features. Its easy to upgrade - in the next few days you"ll see an UPGRADE NOW icon appear on your device's home screen - just click on it and follow the prompts"

Anyone received this upgrade icon yet? Anyone knows if they are talking about the upgrade that came up last week or is it a new one?

Thanks, much appreciated!

I also received the same text message. I haven't had that icon pushed to my BlackBerry yet. I don't know what OS version it'll be but I'm sure once it's released information will be posted on the forum boards here.

well i've been using .486 and except for the blackberry news feeds that don't work properly on it , it's a phenomenal beta leak. so i'm hoping it will be that one because out of all the os's i've used, .486 is my personal favourite.

"except for blackberry news feeds that don't work properly on it" .486 is "a phenomenal beta leak"? I presume the blackberry news feeds worked properly on .448/.450. I don't have any issues with .448 or .450 as far as software is concerned. In fact these versions corrected my occasional "dancing icons" issue as well a third party theme which perviously had a minor issue in horizontal mode.
Check the beta forum. A number of people are having issues with .486. I for one am taking a pass on .486.
I doubt Rogers will be upgrading to .486 with the issues it seems to have.

Yeah it worked properly but under .486 I lost all the feeds icons and it's choppy to operate plus I get the spinning clock quiet often while using it which is odd. But that's all. Otherwise it's fabulous.

But you're right. I checked around and people are having a lot of problems with it which is a bummer.

I had the Software Update icon pushed to my BlackBerry today, but I haven't updated the OS yet. It tells me that I am running: 6.0 Bundle 695 (v.6.0.0.246) and the newer OS version is: Version 6.0 Bundle 1907 (v.6.0.0.448)
