On my homescreen I have the BBM Notification Icon with "1". The issue is I'm on a corporate BES that has restricted BBM, so I can't even get into the app itself.

Any ideas how I get rid of the icon. Tried to uninstall BBM, but you can't with version 5 as it's a part of the core app. Removed battery etc. All to no avail.

Help ?

yep. desktop version 5 does not allow you uninstall BBM.

He didn't say use DM5, use the loader.exe file.

Scroll the top of any model section here for the "latest OS" thread and read the instructions.

same thing. it's greyed out and can't unselect the tick mark. I think it's RIM doesn't want people to remove their own version of IM.

You can upgrade to a later version of BBM and then use Desktop Manager to delete it.

It won't be a Core Application this way.
