It's the Canadian cell providers' response to number portability. Instead of trying to retain you with superior service, they'll just make sure you can't afford to leave.

Yeah I was dissapointed with this too. But this ECF only applies to customers who are going onto new plans or changing their plans after FEB 1. If a customer does a hardware upgrade it will not effect them.

It was one of the many Rogers advantages but now they are the same ECF as Bell but still Telus has no cap of the ECF.
