Default The Crossover Group

There seems to be three groups of cellphone users.

Group #1. CONSUMERS. Non-business consumers including but not limited to kids.

Group #2. BUSINESS. Business/corporate/government including very very serious people who enter high-level government and corporate buildings and don't care about "toys" like cameras.

Group #3. CROSSOVER. They want the consumer gadgets (e.g. camera) and the business tools (push email). They work and play and want to use the same phone for both.

I put myself in Group #3 which is why I am disappointed in the 8800 and I am now firmly committed to the Blackjack after using the 8700c for a year.

The Pearl seems aimed at Group #2.

Much of the debate in this forum is led by people in Group #2 who think they own RIM and RIM is just there for them. I guess they're right judging by the lack of new features including a camera on the 8800.

Why are you writing it off when a cam-included 8800 is due for release? Money burning that big a hole in your pocket?

"The Pearl seems aimed at Group #2"
uh, did I miss something. I'm pretty sure it's definitely Group 1 or 3
