Default 8800 vs. 8820 / google advanced search

Please Login to Remove!

i used to have an 8800 and Google Advanced Search worked fine as a home page and search engine

now i have an 8820 and Google Advanced Search no longer works right. instead of pulling up hits in response to a search, browser takes me to a dumbed down google search page and i have to start over

i have for now given up on google advanced seach on my 8820 and am using Advanced Web Search (which works fine) instead. but i was wondering if anyone might have ideas why google advanced search has problems with 8820 and not 8800. (i know that may not sound like it makes any sense...)

thx
