Default Email set up on 8100 pearl

Hi all,
I am new to the forum & very new to blackberry.

Thanks to this site, I have already removed the previous IT policy on the phone i got from work when they upgraded....

Now...a little further help please!?

1)i want to use the BB for personal & want to set up hotmail...in the set up wizard it says about connecting to BES....do i want to do this?
2)i am on O2....get 600+ mins a month, unlimited text...& unlimited internet....do i need to do anything else to get the bb working fully?

Oh, and apologies if this has (no doubt) been answered loads before.....

cheers penguin......my options are BES or skip email set up......
can anyone tell me where to look for email set up?

It will not show you the option to setup personal email, until you get the blackberry bolt-on from O2
