Default My device not saving pics in memory card

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am using BB 8520.
Few time back i connected my laptop( windows 7) and added few pics and music into it through desktop manager.
But after that when i am taking any photo through camera its not getting saved. when i checked i came to that it have moved whole memory card as read only. as i try to save pic to memory card it says can not save to read only device.

I am just not getting whats happening..

Can anybody help me in this??

Did you check in Camera> Options to see where its saving too?
Also connect it back to the SAME Win7 machine and see if encryption was enabled ~ or if it was sourced from another BB or S60/other OS device using Encryption. Another thing to check in Win7 is if the volume was set to READ ONLY for permissions.

this may help, contains info on read only media cards and the options.

When attempting to use the media card that is inserted in the BlackBerry smartphone, the following error message is received:

Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted

Cause
The media card has not yet been formatted on the BlackBerry smartphone.




--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Resolution
Format the media card. To format the media card, complete the following steps:

Warning: This process will delete all data on the media card.

From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Media Card or Options > Advanced Options > Media Card. (Choose the option that appears on the BlackBerry smartphone).
Display the menu and click Format Card.

Note: If Format Card option does not appear on the menu, skip step 3 and perform the procedure that follows.

A warning message will appear asking if you are certain you would like to format the card. Click Yes to continue.
If the Format Card option does not appear on the menu, complete the following steps:

On the Media Card screen, set the Mass Storage Mode Support field to Off.
Display the menu and click Save. The Media Card screen closes automatically.
Click Media Card to reopen the Media Card screen.
To format the media card, display the menu and click Format Card.
A warning message will appear asking if you are certain you would like to format the card. Click Yes to continue.
