I am the administrator of our BES Server and was told to make a IT Policy on Passwords for our users. The policy goes as, after 30 min the blackberry will lock, and the user will have to unlock his Blackberry, the problem is, if the user types his password wrong, he is prompted to type blackberry before he is able to type his own password. Is there a way I can get rid of the BLACKBERRY prompt?
Ok because at one time, I had a different policy in place for the password and the only thing I changed was ownership in the IT Policy and we never had the Blackberry prompt
The "type blackberry" prompt is built into the OS> It's always been there.
If your users never saw it before, it's because they never entered their password incorrectly enough times to be prompted for it.
If your IT Policy is set for a maximum of 10 attempts, you won't see the "type blackberry" prompt until after 5 attempts have been used up.
If the IT Policy is set for a maximum of 3 attempts, you'll see the "type blackberry" prompt after 1 incorrect entry.
