Default Problem Downloading Opera Mini 3.0!!!

Please Login to Remove!

OK guys, I'm hoping someone can help me....

I've tried downloading Opera Mini 3.0 several times, and I'm still getting a 'connection failed' message when I launch the program and it performs its connection test.

At first I downloaded OM and THEN put 'wap.voicestream.com' as the APN.

When it didn't work, I did a SEARCH on the forum and discovered I needed to FIRST enter the APN and then download OM. So I uninstalled, took out the battery, put it back in, and then downloaded OM (since I'd already entered the APN). It still WON'T WORK.

Can anyone help? Not sure what to do next.

I appreciate the help!

By you using 'wap.voicestream.com' it is correct to say that you are on T-Mobile, right? Some people will put that string in not realizing that it's just for T-mo customers.

Ah you didn't have to redownload it. I had the same problem but once i put in the APN: wap.voicestream.com on the TCP Left the username blank and password blank it worked fine. This only works if you have tmobile.

Hmmm, don't think I tried it again after reading on the forums that you have to FIRST enter the APN and THEN download. Anyway, regardless, I now have OM on there and 'wap.voicestream.com' as the APN and it isn't working. Yes, I am a TMO customer.

Are you able to connect to the internet with the BB Browser? Is that how you're downloading OM, or are you installing from the PC?

Yes, I can connect to the internet. I'm downloading OM this way....NOT from the PC.

Try installing it from the PC. If you don't have the file, you can get it from the link in my signature.

I'll try it tonight when I'm home. Thanks.

What about the APN though? Should I leave it as 'wap.voicestream.com' and then download from the PC?

It doesn't matter if you do it before or after. Just leave it there. No sense in removing it and then putting it back in.
