Default Why is there A sharp light in my Bold Screen

Please Login to Remove!

hi dude,

There is a sharp light in my bold screen, when with a black background, it is not so clear to realise it, you cant see it easily,
but if with a white color background(like in message screen), it is very easy to see which very much affected my mood.

i cant remember exactly when it came to be like that.
It was about 2 months ago, when i was grabing my bold with holster in hand and walking slowly, it suddenly fall to the ground, however not very strong. i picked it up and didnt find any obvious problem and go.

but it seemed severy days later, the problem came out. like you can see in the picture,

i have to mention, in the first week the sharp light in the screen is not so big(only in left up position), but it growed bigger and bigger(to the right bottom) and stayed like that.

ps:
the screen has a protected film, and it is not the problem of the film, and when the screen is off, you cant find anything wrong.

Any of you who can help or who meet the same problem, pls let me know, ur words are highly appreciated.

Thanks

fox

In the picture, it actually looks like the reflection of neon office lighting above but I guess that doesn't really help. I'm not sure what it could be.

Looks like an LCD that has been damaged. Probably from the reported drop.

I am in the process of trying to find a replacement LCD for mine right now.

From the disassembly video on cnn.cn it doesn't seem too difficult to replace.

I had a sharp line on my screen. Looked like pixelation or something and it kept spreading so I just took it to the At&t store for a phone swap

i had the same problem, from the top left corner just like yours, its called LCD bleeding, its becase they use cheap chinese lcd screens. Its something they have to replace underwarrenty because its the phones fault.

Im haveing another issue with the 9000 with the screen fading it out to white. Best of luck i hate this poxy BB worst iv ever owned and i also have a 8900 that is fine.
