Guys

I have an issue when sync my Blackberry Curve 8500 with my Windows 7 Contacts.

I sync'd them, updated my contacts on my windows 7 contacts including deleting some and re-sync'd. Good stuff. I come off and check my phone after disconnecting and its back to square one. No edited contacts, contacts I have deleted have re-appeared.

What am I doing wrong?

I have the tried the sync 2 ways, one ways every damn way!

I don't know about sync'ing with Windows 7, and I haven't looked, but is that an option? Are you in fact sync'ing with Outlook?

Also, are you sync'ing contacts on the device with anything else?

I didn't know you could sync Blackberry contacts with Windows contacts either.

Im syncing my contact with the Windows 7 Contacts. I am using the most up to date RIM software.

Its weird.

Only thing I can think of, at least it would be my first thing to try if you have everything in contacts on the computer the way you want, is . . .

1 - use desktop manager to clear the contacts data base on the device

2 - re-sync contacts, computer -> device

Then see how it goes from there.

But, for sure you are not sync'ing contacts with anything else, such as yahoo or google?

Checked and I am sure I am no syncing with anything else.

Right, I have cleared via RIM and reloaded from PC to Device, so we shall see what happens now

I assumed you know what you are doing as far as desktop manager sync settings, but maybe you should double check. Drill down through all the menues and options. Be sure and check conflict resolution settings.

If cleaning up the device is too much of a hassel, then clear the data base and re-sync as stated above.

There is nothing else to do on the device wrt your issue.

I've had the same issues as the original OP - running windows 7 ultimate 32-bit, don't have outlook or any other contacts list that I sync with. It syncs with the W7 contacts, and despite what position I list people's email in, everyone with a work e-mail the same as mine ends up with their e-mails listed twice.

An update, after I had cleared and re-synced lo and behold back to square one, so decided to have a good look on the handset.

Google sync! I had it to automatically update my contacts & calender, so it has to be that. I have no disabled that adn re-done my editing/deleting so we shall see.

Hehe yes, I totally forgot I had google sync on my phone. So yes, thanks for your help

It does seem like it has solved the issue
