I have a 8100 Blackberry and after I download the 4.2 Desktop manager, only the device manager is present. There is no Desktop manager so I can't transfer files. ANyone know why this happens?

Are you SURE you downloaded the Desktop Manager - there are two pieces of software on the RIM site.

I picked "Blackberry Desktop Software v4.2" from the drop down menu. then at the next screen this comes up:

BlackBerry Device Manager v4.2 (English)


Download includes: Device Manager

I download that because that's the only one available

Select BlackBerry Desktop Software Version 4.2 Service Pack 1.

Device Manager doesn't help you. Not sure what web site you went to.
