Default Got Any Bluetooth Headset Recommendations?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm looking to get a bluetooth headset for my 7100. Is anyone out there using a bluetooth headset with their 7100? If so, which ones come highly recommended?

Thanks

I first got the Jabra 250 but that had some problems with losing a connection and then causeing the phone to do a reset. I exchanged it for the Motorola HS 810 and so far it's worked flawlessly.

I second that - my HS810 has been awesome! Looks sharp too!

The motorola HS820 also works perfectly with the 7100t though I do like the ease of turning the 810 on and off.

Default Bluetooth headset with noise reduction?

I have a convertible so the wind noise even with the top up is a bit high, plus I've been spending the last 4-5 weeks a very noisy computer room. Does anyone have some experience with a Bluetooth headset that has noise-reduction? I saw a logitech unit that appears to have it, but am wondering how good the noise reduction is.

Suggestions on what else I might look at (or listen to)?

Thanks,

Ben

I "third" the Jabra comments - started out with the BT250 as I liked the way it wears, but had too much trouble with the Bluetooth being reliable. Bought an Motorola HS810 and am happy with that.

Stay away from the Jabra for a 7100t. It crashes the phone. I sold my Jabnra and got a Motorola 820 and have had no problems.

We are selling more Moto 810 and 820 headsets than any others... even wired!

That's pretty amazing. Bluetooth has arrived.

I have the Moto HS810 also and I love it. The battery life is as advertised for talk time. Makes it a perfect BT headset for the 7100t that has close to 4hrs talk time.

Plus coming from the Nokia, PPC side of things I must say Blackberry's rule!!!

Anyone that has had experience with the HS810 and HS820, which is the better headset for noisy environments like airports? How about range from device? My home has poor reception except for a few spots. Thought I might leave the phone in the good reception locations and use Bluetooth to speak and answer phone.

Well I leave my 7100t in the office and I walk around my house inbetween rooms and go as far as about 30-35 feet while I am at home.
I live in a basic ranch style house.

I also had the Jabra 250 which caused my 7100t to reset. I bought the new SonyEricsson 660 and it works very well. It also has a great display on it!

Is there no one that has tried both the HS810 and HS820 that can give a comparison? I really want to buy one this weekend but want to get the one that works best in a noisy environment (airports) and has enough volume to be clearly heard. The units with DSP would seem to be the best choice but the proof has to be in the pudding.

barjohn

I have tried both and find the 810 fidelity to be better than the 820. The 820 has better battery life and is slighlty smaller. I have not tested in an airport but have spent time driving with them. I like the 810.

As you can imagine I'm in a position to try whatever whenever and often do... the unit I haven't tried yet is the new Nokia and the NEW NEW SonyEricsson.... but you didn't ask about those!

I'm loooking for what ever will work best. So far i have only seen posts relating to the Motorola units. I have tried the Jabra and found it seriously wanting. I don't know if anyone has experience with the Plantronics 3500.

I've been using the HS810 for 3 months and it's been great - both with my SE T610 and the 7100t.

Can anyone that has used the new Nokia HS-w4 boom mike headset indicate what your experience has been with the new unit?
