I live 1/4 mile from an international border and every time a do a local search on bb maps, all of the results are in Canada. Is there a way to constrain the results to US only?

I thought the local search ordered the results mostly by closest first. I could be wrong. At any rate, do you have "use map center" checked? Don't believe there is anything else you can do.

For what it's worth, the local search in Poynt does return results with closest first. I think it's pretty good.

Poynt does exactly the same thing. If I'm along the riverfront, some locations are actually closer as the crow flies. But it doesn't take into consideration that they're not so easy to set to.

Ahhh. I got it. The search results actually closest to you are also actually on the other side of the border. A solution doesn't come to mind, except select "show on map" and look at points individually.
