How to Select the Correct Fuse:
Inspect: Look at the top of the fuse where the copper cap is located. One end usually has markings, such as "F1A250V," indicating it's a 1A fuse. "A" represents the current unit, and "1A" denotes the maximum current rating.
Measure: Fuses come in various sizes. A fuse labeled "5×20" means it's 5mm in diameter and 20mm in length. Similarly, "6×30" indicates a fuse with a length of 30mm and a diameter of 6mm.
Calculate: If unsure about the required amperage, calculate it based on your device's power rating. Divide the device's wattage by the voltage to get the current in amperes (A). For example, for a 500W appliance with a voltage of 220V, the calculation would be 500W ÷ 220V = 2.27A. You can then choose a fuse slightly larger than this, such as a 2.5A fuse.
